Tropez Hotel La Mandarine: "A 15 year regular at La Mandarine" |

I
first visited St. Trop in the fall of 1991 and was told to stay
at La Mandarine by an Italian friend. I feel in love with the village
and the area. I have returned each year for my holiday since. I
have stayed at many of the 4 star and the only 4 star luxe hotel
in the area over the many trip there. Many may feel the rating
system flawed, but I believe this hotel offers a service unlike
the others and should be rated 5 star. Set in a vineyard just a
10 minute walk from the Place des Lices, and the port, yet secluded
enough not to hear a scooter or Ferrari at 4 or 5 in the a.m. when
'Cave' the fashionable disco starts to wind down. Frank the manager
has been helpful and accommodating to this American for as long
as memory serves me. I think anyone wanting value for your money
and service with a smile, without the all the B.S. In a quiet surrounding
stay here. On second thought, I rather you go somewhere else so
I can continue to get my same room each summer. JC |

Tropez Domaine de l'Astragale: "Beats the best in St Trop" |

I
can't say enough about how fabulous this resort is. My wife said
we may move our annual European Marbella trip to St Tropez France!
All the reviews I read were correct--although fully booked, we
never saw more than 25 people at the pool--more like 10, they apparently
all go to Pampelone Beach, but did not not had time to get out
of l'Astragale. The rooms were the best we've ever been. Also,
if you like quiet rooms, this is the place to be. Might as well
had the place to ourselves. We'll definitely be back in Paradise! |

The
property is impeccably well maintained. It's within easy walking
distance to St. Tropez but yet out of the hustle of the port. But
be careful.....once you visit you'll find yourself returning again
and again! |

Wonderful
experience! The hotel is amazing, and the rooms are beautifully
decorated with Provence touches. Our room had a stunning waterfront
view of Port Grimaud. My only regret is that we didn't spend more
time enjoying the room. Although we arrived at 1:00am, the service
during check-in/out was superb. And, the concierge was super-attentive.
We fell in love with the amazing architecture of Port Grimaud.
Keep it secret.

Hotel Gigaro : "Little Paradise outside of St Tropez" |

A
little paradise located on a nice sandy beach outside of St Tropez.
We spent 3 days last september and this was our honeymoon. The
hotel is a beautiful provence mansion, superb location few meters
away from the beach. The staff have been really nice. The rooms
were romantic, and the view from our terrace was absolutely gorgeous.
The topless beach was the best part of our vacations in south of
France. We will come back again next year. |
